KB Collectables & Auctions is a family-run business in Winsford, Cheshire, with over 25 years of buying and selling coins. We give clear, honest guidance to collectors, executors and private sellers.
Our story
It started with one coin, in the 1970s.

A childhood interest
What began as a boy’s curiosity about the coins in his pocket turned into a proper interest in British numismatics, and then into a lifetime of it.

Learning the trade properly
Decades of buying, selling, handling and studying coins. The kind of practical knowledge that only comes from seeing thousands of pieces in hand, not from a price guide.

That interest is now a family business. We help collectors, families and executors understand the true value of their coins, and every enquiry is handled by us personally.

As a family-run business we can offer a level of personal service that larger operations often cannot. We would rather build long-term trust than make a quick transaction.
Honesty
We explain how every valuation is reached, in plain language. If a coin is worth less than you hoped, we will tell you that too.
No pressure
There is never an obligation to sell. Take as long as you need, ask as many questions as you like, and decide in your own time.

Every enquiry is handled directly by experienced numismatists. You will always be speaking to the people who run the business.

Our approach
Clear, unhurried and easy to understand.
Each coin is assessed on condition, rarity, historical interest and current market demand, informed by recent auction results. We will always talk you through how a figure was reached.
If you decide to sell, we come to you. We collect in person across Cheshire and the North West, confirm the coins in hand, and pay by bank transfer on the spot.
Whether it is a single coin or a lifetime collection, every enquiry gets the same care and the same discretion.
